Keeping you safe is Our #1 Priority

Carbon Monoxide

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Incomplete burning of solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels will produced CO. Appliances fueled with natural gas, liquified petroleum (LP gas), oil, kerosene, coal, or wood may produce CO.

The initial symptoms of CO poisoning are similar to the flu (but without the fever). They include:

  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness

Many people with CO poisoning mistake their symptoms for the flu or are misdiagnosed by physicians, which sometimes results in tragic deaths.

OPD Valve

Overfill Prevention Device is an internal float that stops incoming gas before a safe fill level is exceeded.

These are tanks that do not have the new OPD valve and can no longer be filled.

All DOT cylinders ranging from 4# to 40# are required to have an OPD valve.

We will change valves on your existing tanks.

OPD valves are required by law in the State of Illinois as of April 2002.
